Controversial US rapper and actor DMX has admitted to do drugs offences at a Miami court, his lawyer has revealed.
The 37-year-old pleaded shamed to trying to buy cocaine and marijuana from an surreptitious police officer earlier this year in the Florida city.
The admittance of guilt will go through DMX, real name Earl Simmons, extradited to Arizona where he is ascribable to answer separate do drugs and brute cruelty charges.
In court he was sentenced to time served having spent several days in jail after his arrest in Miami this July.
His lawyer Bradford Cohen has criticised the sting cognitive operation that saw his client convicted.
"He got shafted on this one," he said.
The Arizona charges relate to separate so-called drug offences, while he has been accused of animal cruelness after malnourished dogs and dog carcasses were ground at his Phoenix home.
